Ewa Kębłowska-Ławniczak is Professor of English Literature and Comparative Studies at the University of Wrocław, Poland, where she teaches English literature, cultural and adaptation studies.

Her research interests include the exploration of intersections between visuality and literature; urban literary studies, paratexts and adaptation.

She has published over 50 articles and book chapters. She is the author of Shakespeare and the Controversy Over Baroque (1994); The Visual Seen and Unseen: Insights into Tom Stoppard’s Art (2004); From Concept-City to City Experience (2013) and a co-editor of a monograph, The Spectrum of Emotions. From Love to Grief (2016).  She has been a member of several editorial boards and co-edited special issues including  Philologica Wratislaviensia: Acta et Studia, “Alternate Life-Worlds in Literary Fiction” (2011), and the Polish issue of the British  Journal of Adaptation in Film and Performance:“Adaptation in Poland: A Paradigm Shift”(2021);  She has been co-editor of the Peter Lang Series, Silesian Studies in Anglophone Cultures and Literatures since 2014 and editor-in-chief of Anglica Wratislaviensia since 2013.
