I obtained my MA in English (mgr) at the University of Lublin (UMCS). I started teaching when I was still a student and have been working in the EFL industry for over 30 years. While I have taught English to students of all ages and levels of proficiency, the bulk of my teaching experience came from the language teacher training colleges (NKJO).
Practical language skills have always been my main focus. However, over the years I have taught a wide range of courses from Phonetics/Pronunciation to British Culture to Translation Skills and practical aspects of EFL methodology.
I have had the privilege of living and working in Australia and in the UK, where I had an opportunity to work with and manage multicultural teaching teams as well as teaching international students from virtually every corner of the world. It was this experience that sparked my interest in cross-cultural issues and the link between culture and language, which I try to incorporate into my classes.
